Pet’s Name: Tommy; Submitted by: Jennifer Dobias ’16; Tommy may be a guinea pig, but he’s a huge Jackrabbits fan. He especially enjoyed watching the football team’s run to the 2021 spring FCS Championship game.

Pet’s Name: Rigby; Submitted by: Gayle West; Rigby is a hero. He is a Spinone Italiano, bred to be a bird dog. At hunting training, he was abused by the trainer, and it broke his spirit. After seven years, he is still scared of so much. Any time he allows us to do fun things with him, we embrace it! He loves wearing his SDSU garb, game day or not! Rigby says, Go Jacks!

Pet’s Name: Piper; Submitted by: Brittany Kerr ’09; Piper loves to cheer on the Jacks! She loves to curl up on the couch and watch the Jacks compete! Music by The Pride gets her tail wagging, and she’s not afraid to stand up to a mangy old coyote.

Pet’s Name: Moxy; Submitted by: Julie Mooney ’94; This is Moxy. He belongs to Claire Mooney, Yankton. But Claire is a freshman at SDSU this fall, so her mom, Julie, now inherited the care and keeping of Moxy. But come to find out, Moxy is a huge Jackrabbits fan! Each day he sits proudly on the old Coughlin-Alumni Stadium bench under our front tree, promoting SDSU to anyone who walks or drives by.

Pet’s Name: Dakota; Submitted by: Hadley Forrette; Both of Dakota’s parents graduated from South Dakota State University and will forever be Jackrabbits fans. We hope to move back to Brookings someday, but for now, Dakota and her family will support the Jackrabbits from afar.
