The SDSU Alumni Association held its second-annual SDSU Twins Night at Target Field in August. While last year’s inaugural game was delayed by thunderstorms and high winds, this year’s evening was the perfect summer setting for baseball.
On the heels of last year’s event (Target Field’s fastest-selling college night of 2018), Jackrabbits fans in purchased over 3,000 tickets to the game against the Cleveland Indians, quickly making this new tradition one of our largest and most popular events in recent years.
The co-branded caps that came with the ticket created a sea of yellow and blue that could be seen throughout Target Field and on Fox Sports North. The game opened with the first pitch thrown by Minneaota native Madison Guebert, the SDSU and Summit League all-time 3-point leader.
While the game didn’t end the way Twins fans had hoped, Jackrabbits enjoyed America’s favorite pastime with family, friends and fellow alumni. Now the only thing on the minds of Jacks in Twins’ territory is what next year’s hat will look like!
