New and Revitalized Facilities

The campaign has led to the construction of 16 new or renovated facilities. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the campus community celebrated two of those capital projects in April. The Laughrey Lecture Halls in the Avera Health and Science Center were dedicated April 26. The lecture halls were named in honor of Brookings native Bruce Laughrey, a 1963 College of Pharmacy graduate.

Daktronics Engineering Hall was dedicated April 27. With the completion of the west wing, the building is now home to physics, electrical engineering and computer science. The east wing was dedicated in
spring 2009.

On July 26, the McCrory Gardens Education and Visitor Center will be formally dedicated.
