Weary Wil, left, portrayed by Walt Conahan, is driven in the Bummobile by Hobo Day assistant chairman Leon Pfotenhauer in 1954. Originally known as Weary Willie, the hobo icon arrived at the depot Wednesday night to kick off Hobo Week. Conahan also served as the first Weary Wil in 1950.
