Endowed Faculty Positions
To further strengthen faculty, donors to the campaign have created nine new endowed faculty positions.
In the last fiscal year, South Dakota State received $67.1 million in grant and contract awards – a 74 percent increase from fiscal year 2008. The investments in new and renovated facilities, made possible by It Starts with STATE, have helped faculty and researchers become more successful in today’s competitive research arena. As a result, SDSU is emerging as a regional research epicenter. SDSU research teams are working in areas such as wheat improvement, geographic information sciences, human and animal health, transportation infrastructure, and renewable energy.
