John Robinson, an SDSU researcher in physical biochemistry, shown here in his Avera Health and Science Center laboratory with graduate student Maria Moutsoglou, won a $1.8 million grant in December 2010 to study mechanisms involved in congestive heart failure. Funded by the National Institutes of Health, the four-year study will generate new knowledge that could lead to new treatment strategies.
