Alumni stay connected to their alma maters in a variety of ways. For some, this magazine is their primary source of information about the happenings of SDSU. Your level of connectedness may depend on the activities you were involved in while on campus, your physical proximity to campus, your schedule and overall interest. It is our job at the Alumni Association to try to meet the needs of an ever-growing, ever-diversifying audience of enthusiastic alumni and friends.
While not everyone connects to a university around athletic events, it is the most common. Whether that means you live close enough to have season tickets or catch a game recap here or there, it is a connection point for you to campus. It is also likely a connection point for you to other alumni.
The impact of being back-to-back FCS national champions reaches far beyond Frisco and football. For the thousands of fans able to attend in person, there were hugs and high fives throughout the weekend with friends old and new. Yet there were thousands more who tuned in from their own neighborhoods and shared their love of the Yellow and Blue with those not yet members of Jackrabbit Nation.
I hope you will carry that spirit of connection to and passion for SDSU with you throughout the year and beyond. We can all share the message of all the amazing things happening across campus. This place is special, tell your friends.
With loyal heart so true,
Andi Fouberg
