Amanda Nenaber ’06 received the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialist of the Year Award in March. Nenaber currently works at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. The CNS of the Year Award recognizes an NACNS member for outstanding professional achievement in all aspects of CNS practice. It is presented each year to a nurse who demonstrates CNS competencies and exemplary practice in patient care, nursing and health-care delivery systems. Nenaber was honored as one of Colorado’s best nurses in 2014 and was one of six recipients of that year’s Nightingale Award, chosen from the 41 nurses honored as Nightingale Luminaries.
