Favorite SDSU Memory: The 1985 regional basketball finals at Frost Arena. I was in high school and my family is great friends with Gene Zulk and his family. Gene got us in early, and we had great seats at center court in the student section.
How/Why I Stay Connected to SDSU: “I stay connected through friends, SDSU publications and attending SDSU events. Genetics would be the reason I stay connected. It is where my parents met. SDSU is connected to my dad’s family and to my mother’s family as a good portion of them attended SDSU. My siblings all attended SDSU. I am happy to say I have a nephew who is attending SDSU this fall. In addition, I am working hard to “brainwash” my kids to attend SDSU. It’s working.”

Favorite SDSU Memory: Friendships and Hobo Day parade preparation activities.
How/Why I Stay Connected to SDSU: “I have so many great memories of my time at SDSU and was so excited that both of our boys chose SDSU. We had no doubt they would have a fantastic experience at SDSU as well as receive a great education preparing them for their future careers. We have continued to follow the Jacks sports and have attended alumni functions. I continue to speak to future graduates about SDSU and all the opportunities SDSU can provide.”

“SDSU provided me with lifelong friendships and an excellent education to move on to further my career goals. It also fosters a community to support something bigger than oneself. That community strives to impact the lives of all South Dakotans in a meaningful way. As a lifelong South Dakotan, I understand SDSU truly is positively impacting lives every day.”

“I stay connected to SDSU by following the athletic programs and the College of Pharmacy. I never want to lose the feeling of being on campus.”
